Activities and Adventures
The day I arrived by train in Seattle it was cold, sleeting and almost snowing. I took a room at the Olympic Hotel and could hardly wait to see what Seattle was all about. It was love at first sight! The water, the ferryboats the trees and the
Snow capped Mountains in every direction. What a contrast to the "golden hills" of the Bay Area! I did the Seattle Center, Space Needle, Public Market, Frye Museum, "Ye Old Curiosity Shoppe", the Monorail, and Pioneer Square. This was my introduction to the state of Washington. I still enjoy the tourist sites, but over the years I have added activities and places you might also enjoy for that "off the beaten path" experience.
